@@jimmyporter2008 glad you liked it! It made a change staying low! Atb
3 daft monkeys always good value at a festival.
Great but can you please change the music that reflects the walk, something more sedate, like the walk..

I would say, his video, his choice!

Are these still photos taken by your Lumix camera? Do you usually use Lumix exclusively for photos when you hike? Or for videos as well?
Yes, still used the Lumix, on rapid shot. Some worked, some didn't! Atb
@@gazfisher1000 You don't use Lumix for video?
@@mhtinla sometimes, just preferred photos here! Atb
It's quite local to me this walk , never thought this would pop up on your channel , and if you're ever in the area again try the walks on the clwydian range . I'm sure you'd enjoy them .
Hi Dave, they're definitely on the list! Atb
Lovely
Somehow I'd switched off the notifications. Im looking forward to catching up on your walks!
Beautiful! Where were you?
This was in Poynton! Atb
Ooh what time did you start? I want to do a few walks down that area, but i'm not that familiar with it. So thank you for the idea. I'll look for Newgate on the map
We started about 5:10am but it'll be earlier to as the summer moves! Lovely place! So open! Atb
Did similar walk yesterday hambleton and thimbleby plantation enjoyable walk with fantastic views 👍🏻
It's a beautiful area! Atb
Superb work as always!
Thanks, appreciated atb
Did it ever get any better than this walking in the lakes ? I've watched a fair few of your videos and this has got to be one of the best .
Thanks Dave, glad you liked it! Atb
One of my favourite walks 👍🏻
Always an easy go to! Atb
Hard to imagine that these moors were once extensively wooded .
One of my favourite places to start a walk is clay bank - the climb from opposite the car park towards the wainstone's is a cardio work out the views to rosebury topping/ captains cook monument rivals any in the area (and I live in Rosedale) and then you have the rest off the moor to explore 😊
It's certainly a great place to visit with great views as you said! And bizarrely, I was walking around Rosedale yesterday! Atb
Hi Gary, Wainwright got it wrong with this one, it's a beautiful and varied walk with cracking views. Great stuff as ever mate. ☮ Andy H
Hi Andy, it's a great location in the Lakes. Has prime views yet still manages to say quite secluded! Atb
@@gazfisher1000 Agreed Gary, Stonethwaite is generally quiet unless the campsite is heaving. Are you from the North East Gary, I think I heard yer speak once on a vid with a North East accent years back, I'm from Washington mate. Andy H

Another great video Gary stunning views 👍🏻I was talking to you at cpt cooks last week I hope your other half’s leg heals up ok so she can get back out walking soon 👍🏻
Cheers, glad you liked it! Currently on alcoholic pain relief for the leg! We'll be back! 🤣Atb
That's a slog up Grizedale Pike Gary ,I know how you feel ,but views are epic 👌 👏
Hahaha, it certainly is! And yes, the views are amazing! Atb
Superb video. I’ve done this walk about 90 times in all weathers. It’s my favourite walk by a mile. To do it in the snow must have been fantastic. Thank you!
Glad you liked it. The snow did make it amazing! Atb
Yep, I was there. Memorable and fantastic days out. Still can’t see myself in the pics. 😁👍🏼
A great week wasn't it! Atb
Sitting here under another grey Lincolnshire sky, I thought what will cheer me up from this gloom....I know that amazing Coniston Old Man walk from a couple of years back by Gary Fisher and his lady friend. Great weather, great scenery, grwat photography, great music, thanks again.
Many thanks for your kind comments! Atb
Brilliant video Gary. Me and the other half were up there last week hoping to do Skiddaw. We parked up but the strong chilly wind and clag everywhere put us off and my missus hated the thought of going up the tourist path. We decided to do the valley walk and we came back via Burnt Horse Ridge and Lonscale Fell. Looking at your video that route looks a much better ascent to Skiddaw. Is it a slog and quite steep its hard to judge looking on videos. 8.8 miles should be doable for my wife too. Cheers Gary
Hi, yes the tourist route is a drag! Recently walked up Skiddaw via Lonscale Fell. Definitely has better views. ruclips.net/video/BNXq8Ag8pxc/видео.htmlsi=xBE4JYfdBW1RtK_L Atb
How did you get to use this music? I thought it was copyrighted?
Sometimes it lets you add the music, obviously my videos aren't monetised. Atb
Isn’t this the pike crag route?
Don't believe so. Atb
Another great year captured in this video , amazing seasonal scenes , looking forward to the forthcoming year . All the best .
Thanks Dave, glad you liked it! Atb
Just one question , how many miles , feet of ascent for the year as you usually include them at the end of the video . Thanks
@@daveephraim6194 I had a couple of issues early in the year with my stats and so decided to stop recording them. Atb
By, this brings back fond memories from when I used to live in Grangetown. I used to go up the hills often, especially with my dog Jyp. We clocked up some miles together. I walked, on occasion up to Eston Nab, to Redcar, or Saltburn, and covered a lot of ground you showed in your video. Thanks for the footage, fond memories! Can't do that anymore. Age and distance preclude it.
Glad you liked it and it brought back some memories! Sorry to hear your limited in ability to return! Atb
Happy New Year to u both ,cant believe we just missed u last night in wainwrights🍻
Happy New Year to you too! Now recovering from a busy weekend! Atb
Roseberry Topping was a mountain when I was a kid! It's nice to see the tree is still there .Thanks for posting! 🙂
My ancestors supposedly lived in this area…Lammerside Castle and Wharton Hall
It's a beautiful place! Atb
Brilliant video Gary. We stayed at Littletown Farm in Spring this year and the views from the garden to Robinson and Hindscarth were awesome. It looked a tough walk up either of them. I did them from the Buttermere side years ago but definately a more interesting and scrambly route yours. Cheers
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I do love Newlands Valley! It's a stunning area! And the routes up from Newlands aren't too difficult! Quite easy going really! Atb
Love the vlog. Came across your channel whilst searching for information on the Limestone Way. Excellent choice of music. Great minds think alike. Question how can I use these on my channel rather than the boring royalty free stuff??
Hi, glad you enjoyed the channel! With regards the music, I just put my own on using my video software. You cant monetise these videos but they are far better with your own music! Well, sometimes! I get a good few complaints, but music tastes differ! 🤣Atb
Stunning walk and scenery Gary and a beautiful day. When I first noticed the video I thought it was recent with the snow weve just had. Great video
Thanks Tony, glad you liked it! It was a stunning day earlier this year! Roll on these conditions again! Atb
Did this walk the other day after watching this - cheers!
It's definitely a nice walk in different seasons! Atb
Those berries were a welcome splash of colour!
It did seem to be a day lacking colour! 😂Atb
Can't believe I've only just found your channel, we both do alot of videos on the Moors, just subscribed, looking forward to watching more of your videos, Ta Stu.
Hi Stu, ta for the sub! Just subscribed back! Think I'll be using your vids for some inspiration! Atb
Great vid, loved the soundtrack too! Really nice shots of the Eagle, we were up in this area back in October and we spotted a White Tailed Eagle just a few miles up the road from here! Anyway, great video and you have a new subscriber! Andy
Thanks Andy, glad you liked the video and always glad when someone likes the soundtrack as well! It's a stunning area! And the eagle was amazing! Thanks for subscribing, hope the other videos are to your liking as well! Atb
Im looking forward to your snowy videos. We just had a 60cms snowfall this weekend!
Oh mine are nothing like that! I had a dusting!!! Atb
Did you manage to get out during the recent snowfall ? The moors almost look like a different place when they're covered.
Hi, I did get out but not on the moors so much! Still working on these videos! Atb

Thanks I enjoyed that , now on my walking list for next year
Glad you enjoyed it! Actually walked from Richmond to Gilling West today as well! Nice area! Atb
Absolutely 💯👏🤗 brilliant. Some of many beautiful spots we have on our doorstep.
You know it Steve!!! Atb
My favourite beach. It's beautiful. Please don't tell anyone. It's mine!! 6am, and it was me and some dog walkers who had the whole stretch to ourselves. Heavenly. How can I be homesick for a place we only lived in for 4 years?!
Hahaha, I know the feeling well! Something about a big beach just works! I often get up early and wander along my beach before everyone gets up! Perfect! Atb
